K: It’s not going on, but you listen to the talk. It’s in your head already. [Laughter]

Q: And then I think, maybe one day I don’t need it…

K: Maybe. Then you always have Karl in your background. You don’t have to plug-in anymore. [Laughter] Plugged in, forever!

Q [Another visitor]: Everything I say or think or do, is looking for a conclusion…

K: You want to finish yourself. You want to reach the end and you don’t care what happens then, but you want to end it. All whatever happens, is to end it. It’s like a permanent suicide attempt of consciousness wanting to end it. Whatever it does, all the romances, all the enlightenment, all the meditation, is trying to end it. But it cannot be ended. This never ending story continues – if you like it or not and no one ever did it. Whoever claimed that he made it – forget it!

Q: And therefore the end of tendency of avoidance is not a happening…

K: It’s already there because what-you-are never had any tendencies. And just by being what-you-are, there’s no tendency at all. But the imaginary phantom you wake up with, will always have a tendency. And you cannot stop it. There will always be one kind of tendency that this body has. There is an infinite story of tendencies of consciousness.

And the main tendency is, consciousness wanting to know consciousness. The lover wants to know the beloved – wants to know himself. That’s the main tendency. And that’s the way you realize yourself. You cannot otherwise realize yourself. This lie that the lover is different from the beloved, is already there when you wake up. That experience of awareness, is already an experience of separation. So, there’s a false evidence – as an experience. And you want to end that.
